DESCRIPTION

ALLEVYN Gentle Border Heel dressing has an advanced triple-layered construction which combines an absorbent hydrocellular pad sandwiched between a perforated silicone gel adhesive wound contract layer and a highly permeable waterproof outer film.

IINDICATIONS

ALLEVYN Gentle Border Heel Dressing is indicated for wound management by secondary intention on shallow, granulating wounds, chronic and acute low exuding wounds full and partial thickness wounds including:

• Pressure ulcers
• Diabetic foot ulcers
• Leg ulcers
• Fungating wounds
• Infected wounds
• Malignant wounds
• Surgical wounds
• Donor sites
• First and second degree burns

PRECAUTIONS

Do not use ALLEVYN Gentle Border Heel dressing with oxidizing agents such as hypochloritesolutions (e.g. EUSOL) or hydrogen peroxide, as these can break down the absorbent polyurethane component of the dressing. If reddening or sensitization occurs discontinue use.
