Foam Lite™ dressings are intended for the management of a wide range of low or non-exuding wounds. Under medical supervision, they may be used for both acute and chronic wounds.

How does Foam Lite™ ConvaTec work?

Foam Lite™ uses three synergistic layers designed to support wound management.

The thin, soft foam inner layer provides gentle absorbency for wounds producing little or no exudate. A perforated silicone adhesive layer helps secure the dressing to the skin while allowing easy application, repositioning and gentle removal.

The outer waterproof protective film is breathable and helps protect the wound from water, bacteria and viruses, with these barrier properties demonstrated in vitro.

Foam Lite™ for hard-to-dress areas

Foam Lite™ is designed to be flexible and conformable, helping it follow the contours of the body even in awkward dressing positions.

Its thin construction reduces bulk, while the dressing can be cut as required to accommodate different wound shapes, sizes and anatomical locations.

This makes Foam Lite™ particularly useful where a more substantial or highly absorbent foam dressing may not be required.

When should Foam Lite™ not be used?

Foam Lite™ should not be used in individuals who are sensitive to, or have experienced an allergic reaction to, the dressing or any of its components.

Foam Lite™ is also not compatible with oil-based products or emollients such as petrolatum and should not be used with oxidising agents including hydrogen peroxide or hypochlorite solutions.
