Description

IV3000™ Central Line Transparent Film Catheter Dressing

IV3000™ is a transparent, moisture-responsive film catheter dressing designed to secure and protect intravenous catheter sites, including central venous access devices. Its breathable REACTIC™ film technology responds to moisture beneath the dressing, helping excess moisture evaporate and reducing moisture build-up around the catheter site.

The transparent film allows healthcare professionals to visually monitor the insertion site without routinely removing the dressing, while the conformable design and securing strips help support reliable catheter fixation.

IV3000™ is designed to provide a protective barrier around the catheter site while helping support comfortable wear and straightforward dressing removal.

Key benefits of IV3000™ Central Line Dressing

  • Transparent IV catheter film dressing
  • Suitable for securing and protecting intravenous catheter sites
  • Moisture-responsive REACTIC™ film technology
  • High moisture vapour transmission rate
  • Helps minimise moisture accumulation beneath the dressing
  • Transparent construction enables continual visual monitoring of the catheter site
  • Helps support catheter-related infection prevention strategies by managing moisture
  • Conformable film adapts to the body and catheter site
  • Securing strips help improve fixation and conformability
  • Designed for comfortable removal
  • May remain in place for up to 7 days where clinically appropriate
  • Suitable for use with a range of intravenous access devices

What is IV3000™ Central Line Dressing used for?

IV3000™ is designed for the securement and protection of intravenous catheter insertion sites.

It may be used with devices such as:

  • Central venous catheters
  • Central lines
  • PICC lines
  • Peripheral intravenous cannulae
  • Other intravenous access devices where a transparent film dressing is clinically appropriate

Its transparent construction allows the insertion site to remain visible throughout wear, helping clinicians assess the area without unnecessarily disturbing the dressing.

How does IV3000™ work?

IV3000™ incorporates REACTIC™ moisture-responsive film technology.

The film becomes more permeable when moisture levels underneath the dressing increase, allowing moisture vapour to escape. This helps reduce the accumulation of moisture around the catheter insertion site.

Managing moisture is particularly important in intravenous therapy because excessive moisture can create conditions favourable to bacterial growth.

The dressing remains transparent during wear, allowing healthcare professionals to observe the catheter site for signs that may require clinical attention.

IV3000™ for central lines and PICC lines

IV3000™ is well suited to central venous catheter and PICC line care, where effective catheter securement, moisture management and clear visibility of the insertion site are important.

Its thin, conformable film follows the contours of the body while the supplied securing strips can help stabilise the dressing and catheter tubing.

This combination helps support routine inspection and catheter-site management while reducing the need for unnecessary dressing disturbance.

How long can IV3000™ stay in place?

IV3000™ may be used for up to 7 days, subject to clinical assessment, catheter type, site condition and local intravenous therapy protocols.

The dressing should be replaced earlier if it becomes loose, compromised, contaminated or if clinical assessment indicates that a dressing change is required.

IV3000™ and catheter infection prevention

Moisture around an intravenous catheter site can contribute to an environment in which microorganisms can proliferate.

By helping minimise moisture build-up beneath the dressing, IV3000™ can form part of a wider catheter-related bloodstream infection prevention strategy.

A catheter dressing should always be used alongside appropriate aseptic technique, site preparation, catheter care and local infection-prevention protocols.

Why choose IV3000™ Central Line Dressing?

IV3000™ combines transparent site visibility, moisture-responsive technology and catheter securement in a lightweight film dressing designed specifically for intravenous therapy.

Its REACTIC™ film helps manage moisture beneath the dressing, while the transparent construction supports ongoing site inspection and the conformable design helps provide secure, comfortable wear.

Catheter dressing selection, application and frequency of change should always follow local clinical protocols, the manufacturer's instructions for use and the judgement of an appropriately qualified healthcare professional.
